• A demonstrated capacity for leadership within their own organizations through significant achievement and experience relative to age
• Active within or interested in becoming engaged in the community through volunteer service

The Leadership Academy seeks candidates who represent a cross section of the community and its institutions, including business, education, the arts, religion, government, community-based organizations, ethnic and minority groups. Every completed application will be reviewed.

The class will include current and emerging leaders. Maximum enrollment is 20 participants. Applicants will be notified of their participation by July 16, 2010.

It is an honor to be invited to participate in the Leadership Academy. With so many qualified candidates from which to choose, the selection of each year's class presents a difficult challenge. Individuals who applied but were not selected in prior years are encouraged to reapply.

Investment of $350 per person is required. Tuition includes seven (7) sessions, all meals and materials for the program, and reserved seating at the Valpo Chamber Annual Meeting which will be held in January 2011. Upon notification of acceptance in the 2010 Leadership Academy, an invoice will be sent and tuition due by August 25, 2010.
